I’m an oceanographer, and I love programming — I’ve learned a good number of dynamic languages over the years, both for fun and for work. Right now I work with climate change and its relation with the world’s oceans, trying to understand a little bit more about our world.
Even though I was born in Brazil and my native language is portuguese, I was also alphabetized in english. I’ve studied french and spanish, and I also know a couple of words in dutch. In this weblog I like to write in different languages because each one has its own idiosyncrasies.
I’m both a romantic and a skeptic, I’m timid but I love giving speeches, I’m easy to forgive others but hard on myself. For years I’ve been wanting to write a diary, starting with the words “ceci, c’est moi” — this is me. I gave up and decided to start a new blog, adding all my old posts I could find.
And here we are.
